HxH: Phantom Rouge SpoilerI just watched Hunter X Hunter: Phantom Rouge a few days ago and it was really fun. Here's a photo of me: https://twitter.com/Imbadoodles/status/334623063381508096 from that day. And now, I feel like I wanted to share the movie's story to you guys.
I wrote this based on what I can remember so I might miss some parts of it and there may be some errors too. Moreover, pardon me for my writing skills for I am not a professional writer. If there are any mistakes, please correct/inform me in a nice way, okke? ^^

Controversy over Merida's Disney Princess MakeoverMany of you fans of the Disney Princess franchise know that Disney has just recently inducted Merida from PIXAR's "Brave" as the 11th official Disney Princess. As part of that coordination into the franchise, she gets transitioned from 3D to 2D just like Rapunzel from "Tangled." Here is a link to the picture of before and after.

But after the reveal of her new look, fans and parents are outraged with her new look. Some of the revisions include her crazy red hair have been made fuller and sleeker, her waist is a bit smaller, her dress exposes more of her shoulders, and her eyes and lips have makeup. In some images of new look, she's not holding her signature bow and arrow. Even the co-director of "Brave," Brenda Chapman, express disgust with Merida's new look calling the makeover "atrocious" and "a blatantly sexist marketing move based on money."

Surprise review: Epic (Spoiler free)Hey guys so here is my super short review of 'Epic', Blue Sky's latest movie. If the name 'Blue Sky' doesn't ring any bells they are the studio that made Ice Age and Rio. They were seen as an 'okay' studio at best. They never released a godawful movie (except Ice Age 4, but even I've seen much worse than that) but their films were always avarege with some interesting designs and animation.
'Epic' is no exception to this. While its a more ambitious project than their previous movies, it falls flat because of the lack of character development, emotion, and well...its a story we've seen a million times. While I have no problem with films that borrow storylines, but unless they have something new to add when it comes to story or its characters it becomes very forgettable. This movie is like a strange hybrid of 'The Secret World of Arietty' and 'FernGully'.
Okay so whats the good? Um, some of the animation and designs are really nice. Especially some textures, they have a lot of detail and

About 'Rotten Tomatoes'...I had long since stopped giving credit to it. This is not a site who gathers professional critics with a criteria beyond the usual "is it entertaining or not". Of course a critic always has a small portion of bias to come with it, but when one's analysis is composed by 70% of it, it's hard to take what they're saying seriously, much less believe they know what they're talking about.
Now, I don't wanna make myself sound like I am an expert on the criticizing field, but the way people express their arguments (or no arguments at all like I've seen one too many times...!) to say if the movie is good or not makes it obvious they're far more interested in expressing personal likings than analyzing its elements separately and point out its contribution (or lack thereof) to the film's quality; why, I seldom see people unraveling the basic such as plot's objective and character development, so how am I to be convinced this site is a good source of feedback when people are not even aware of what
SPREAD US!It's already less than a month until MAN OF STEEL arrives. And until then our Group can be much more bigger!

Over-Analyzing AgainI'll mention a few more stuff I noticed but forgot to add in the last journal~

The school is really into horses. I see horseshoes as the school logo or whatever and drawings of horses around.

AND I love how it's not just the Mane 6 in the movie, we even see those with the tiniest roles in there too...

Sure, I'll have WiR friends. I still love the movie.
But. This. Fandom. Sucks.
So hard.
Do you realize how many immature stuck-up brats, snooty unfair assholes, one-sided dickfucks, and underaged bitches I've met in this particular fandom alone? Just holy shit.

The Evolution of the Disney PrinceToday, I caught the last bit of Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, and in that last 40 minutes or so of the movie, I got an interesting look at unnamed prince. (Sorry, I refuse to accept his name is "Charming". :XD:) And I decided to write this. It's been on my mind for a while, sparked by a friend's words last year. Consider this the remnants of my years as a Lit major.

What makes a prince? Disney's answer to that question has been slowly changing over the decades.
Once, a friend said something along the lines of: Have you noticed the anti-sexism in Disney movies? The Disney Princess have no personality in the earliest Disney movies. (Extremely paraphrased)
And it's true, isn't it? Cinderella and Snow White's princes are not given the chance to really develop as characters. They hardly get any time on screen. And they don't even have names; they're just called "the Prince". In these movies, the Prince is just rich, handsome face with a good voice;

max's mind chapter 6 old villains new faces part 1As maximus and viper walked slowly to the TARDIS doors, viper had a moment to think about this "wait!...should we attack?" she said. maximus looked straight at her, "what?!" he said. "well...you said (behind those doors is something very...VERY bad and EVIL!!)...and i know kung fu...sooooo why not attack the thing that's evil?" she explained.
